Grandis (Eucalyptus Grandis) from South Africa is an ideal economical hardwood for various products. Chosen because of its colour consistency, length availability and performance. All Grandis supplied by Somerset Timbers is continuously replanted to ensure sustainability. Its stability and economical price allows Grandis decking to be an excellent alternative to other imported hardwood's such as Garapa and Balau. The colour of Grandis is generally light pink to brown and will darken after initial sealing.

Manufactured from quality Pine, this 44 x 100mm handrail features smooth 10mm radiused corners for a comfortable grip and a clean, finished appearance.

The timber is Azure treated, providing added protection while retaining a more natural timber appearance. This profile makes it well suited to balustrades, decks, stairways and other handrail applications where strength, practicality and a neat finish are important.

The handrail can be finished with a suitable exterior timber coating to complement the surrounding deck, balustrade or structure.

Our 44 x 94mm Red Grandis handrail combines a smooth, comfortable profile with the naturally attractive appearance of Grandis timber. The handrail features 10mm radiused corners, creating a softer edge and a refined finish suited to high-quality timber balustrades and stairways.

Red Grandis is characterised by its light pinkish to warm reddish colouring and attractive natural grain, making it an excellent choice where the appearance of the timber forms part of the finished design.

Its clean, contemporary profile pairs particularly well with timber decking and balustrades and can be finished with a suitable timber coating to enhance and protect its natural colour and grain.
