Logistics Office Enhances Delivery Efficiency

In May 2024, Somerset Timbers proudly commissioned a new logistics office, designed to significantly boost delivery operations.

The new facility streamlines internal logistics, handling up to 5-10 Interlink deliveries per week, expertly managed by Lionel van Wyk. External logistics, overseen by Irene Swarts, coordinates six delivery trucks that manage an impressive 50-60 deliveries daily.

The logistics operations cover key areas including Cape Town, Helderberg, Stellenbosch/Paarl, the West Coast, and Overberg, ensuring timely and efficient service to a broad customer base. This strategic move not only enhances operational efficiency but also underscores Somerset Timbers’ commitment to providing top-notch service and timely deliveries to its clients.
