An unseen product that is critical in the build of any building, structural timber not only provides strengths to the build and ensures the roof has something to sit on, but adds structure to windows and doorways too.
As a structural timber product Garapa is one of the few commercial hardwoods available that is light-coloured and decay-resistant for exterior applications. Being the least dense of the mainstream tropical species it weighs 820 kg /m3 and is fairly easy to work with glueing and finishing well.
