A little love, a lot of learning, and an Easter surprise!

We had the absolute joy of spending the day with the incredible children at Goeie Hoop Child and Youth Care Centre—a place that offers safety, support, and love to children who’ve faced more than most at a young age. Goeie Hoop provides a stable environment where kids can thrive, heal, and be reminded that they matter.

With the help of our amazing Somerset Timbers customers, we were able to donate over R6500 worth of school stationery—including exercise books, pens, pencils, scientific calculators, mathematical sets, and other essentials that will help set these young learners up for success. It may seem like just stationery, but to these children, it’s a symbol of hope, encouragement, and a brighter future.

Of course, no visit is complete without a little fun! After the handover, we surprised the kids with a cheerful Easter Egg hunt—and their faces lit up with joy as they ran around with laughter and excitement, discovering sweet little treasures. It was a beautiful reminder of the joy that comes from simple moments and shared kindness.
